Founder
Mark P. Thomas
Mark has spent more than 30 years in clinical research. He started in big pharma, running Phase I trials across Europe, then built a clinical resourcing business, Pharmaceutical Contract Resourcing (PCR), in the 1990s, then two CROs, and is now back in resourcing. He founded Clinicology, a UK CRO, and sold it to a mid-sized European CRO, where he went on to serve as UK Managing Director. He was also a founding director of Cmed.
Over that time he has built clinical operations teams, hired and managed CRAs and project managers, and worked with sponsors of every size. He started Baynard Thurlow after seeing how often sponsors, from small biotechs to established pharma and medtech companies, struggled to find reliable people on the ground in the UK and Europe.
